Fig Tree Reading List
books i've owned for years philosophical text i've been reading for months library books ao3 new release required reading for school circulating online novel i got bored of weeks ago rereading the one thinker i’m obsessed with saved articles on jstor “I saw my tbr branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story.”
A fig tree is covered with labels representing different books and reading materials, while the quote compares the branching reading list to the green fig tree in a story. The joke is about having an enormous, scattered to-be-read list, including books owned for years, online releases, required reading, abandoned novels, and saved academic articles.
