New Year New Me in August

Text on the meme

new year new me bitch it's august time is an illusion

What it means

A text-message exchange begins with “new year new me,” but the reply points out that it is already August. The punchline is the speaker’s complete detachment from the passage of time, making it a reaction to missed deadlines, delayed plans, or feeling like the year has flown by.
