Text on the meme

PNG was invented in 1996 The world before 1996:

What it means

A collage shows a blue sky, clouds, a bird, an airplane, mountains, houses, a tree, people, a road, and a cartoon car. The joke pretends that transparent PNG images did not exist before 1996, so everyday objects appear as awkward cutouts pasted onto unrelated backgrounds. It is used as an absurd reaction to visibly poorly edited or composited images.
