You Become a Polar Bear
And now you become a polar bear You'll always be my deer You become a polar bear
A snowy video alternates between a close-up polar bear and a deer facing a microphone. The captions turn the animals into a surreal lyric-like exchange, with “deer” punning on “dear” and the abrupt return to the polar bear creating the absurd punchline. Linkin Park’s intense nu-metal song “Figure.09” makes the harmless animal footage feel dramatically over-the-top.
