Why Is 96GB DDR5 RAM So Cheap
Why is this 96GB DDR5 RAM so cheap? : r/PcBuildHelp I am building a PC with Ryzen 9 9900x. My main objective is a ton of RAM as I will be loading huge AI models into RAM before they are sent to the GPU. ... RAM has gotten very cheap, its one of the if not cheapest component in PCs It’s 96gb at 5200MT/s, CL high capacity but very slow speed and high latency.
A Reddit screenshot shows a PC-building question about unusually cheap 96GB DDR5 RAM for loading large AI models. The joke is that the RAM is inexpensive because it has very high capacity but unusually slow speed and high latency, making it a poor bargain for performance-focused PC building.
