AI Overcomplicates Blender Workflow
AI bro opens Blender one time and basic camera navigation is too hard so he asks AI to make a more convoluted workflow and thinks something was accomplished. Whoa! I was frustrated with the camera controls in Blender and asked Fable if we should just build it in the browser with ThreeJS and it suggested using a hybrid approach where ThreeJS provides a view into the Blender model. Now I have a shot list that I can click through and adjust in the browser. I love figuring out new workflow improvements.
A social media post jokes about someone opening Blender once, struggling with basic camera navigation, and asking AI to invent an unnecessarily complicated browser-based workflow using ThreeJS and Blender. The punchline is that the convoluted solution feels like a major accomplishment despite solving a simple problem, making it a reaction to overengineering and AI-assisted programming.
