Government Website Experience

Text on the meme

How it genuinely feels using ANY government website

What it means

A video cycles through increasingly bizarre surreal images—an overwhelmed man adjusting his glasses, a chaotic collage of military and media imagery, a lobotomized-looking puppy, and an absurd alien conspiracy scene—before returning to the stressed man. The joke is that using any government website feels confusing, dystopian, and needlessly complicated; the dramatic music, Sebastien Van Der Rohe’s “The Lord of the Rings,” gives the mundane frustration an epic, ominous scale.
