Hitler Names the GNOME Desktop

Text on the meme

"vat are you doing mein fuhrer?" "i am creating a desktop environment.. hmm.. i vill call it.. GNOME.." do gnome devs really deserve basic human rights

What it means

A black-and-white photograph of Adolf Hitler writing at a desk is paired with a fake dialogue about naming a desktop environment GNOME. The joke combines Hitler’s stereotypical speech and Nazi imagery with the absurdly mundane world of Linux software, then escalates with a darkly ironic question about GNOME developers’ human rights. It is used as an absurd reaction to GNOME, Linux, or controversial software design decisions.
