Computer in the Laboratory
MARCH 1980 Volume 5, Number 3 $2.50 in USA/$2.95 in Canada the small systems journal A MCGRAW-HILL PUBLICATION COMPUTERS IN THE LABORATORY
A vintage BYTE magazine cover shows a futuristic computer with a fishbowl-like screen, mounted on a metal stand above a lit burner. The surreal laboratory setup humorously presents an early-1980s vision of computers as strange experimental equipment, making it useful as a reaction to bizarre technology or retro-futuristic ideas.
