The Old Internet Montage

Text on the meme

Windows XP FINAL FANTASY XI America Online LimeWire nyan cat :3 Mac OS 9

What it means

A rapid nostalgic montage of old computer desktops, portals, file-sharing software, YouTube, Nyan Cat, and Mac OS 9 plays to Pastel Ghost’s trance track “Iris.” The joke is the overwhelming rush of early-internet nostalgia, making the clip work as a reaction to suddenly remembering the chaotic online culture of the 2000s.
