Kids first phone now vs: My first phone: SONIC SPIDER-MAN MARIO Kuromi Sweet

What it means

A laughing child unwraps a modern smartphone in a kitchen, then the clip cuts to colorful toy-style phones decorated with Sonic, Spider-Man, Mario, Kuromi, and Frozen characters. The joke contrasts today’s expensive touchscreen phones with the simple novelty phones many people had as children. The upbeat song “On Hold” by Cheap Thrill adds playful nostalgia and makes the reveal feel like a comedic punchline.
