When They Came for Gamers
FIRST THEY CAME FOR ARTISTS AND I SHITPOSTED, BECAUSE I WASN’T AN ARTIST. THEN THEY CAME FOR SUPPORT AND MODERATION AND I LAUGHED, BECAUSE I WASN’T A SUPPORT WORKER. THEN THEY CAME FOR ENGINEERS AND I SHITPOSTED, BECAUSE I WASN’T AN ENGINEER. AND WHEN THEY CAME FOR GAMERS, THERE WAS NO ONE TO STAND UP FOR ME.
The Joker stares menacingly in a dark, green-tinted scene while captions describe different groups being targeted and the narrator mocking their misfortune. The punchline is that when gamers are targeted, nobody remains to defend the narrator, parodying the “First they came…” quote and gamer solidarity.
