Patrick Bateman Hi-Fi Shrine

Text on the meme

I rebuilt Patrick Bateman’s entire Hi-Fi setup. ...the exact Harman Kardon stack from American Psycho. Including the iconic Huey Lewis & The News album. My American Psycho Hi-Fi shrine.

What it means

The video tours a carefully assembled vintage hi-fi system with stacked Harman Kardon components, a large vinyl collection, the Huey Lewis & The News album cover, and a framed image of Patrick Bateman. Set to Huey Lewis and the News — “Hip To Be Square,” the clip humorously recreates Bateman’s famously obsessive American Psycho music-and-interior aesthetic as an elaborate personal shrine. It works as a reaction for exaggerated audiophile obsession, meticulous collecting, or proudly overbuilt nostalgia.
