Top Researcher Joins Meta

Text on the meme

“Sir, Trap it Bansal, our top researcher who started the o series and RL paradigm with Ilya Sutskever...” Thrilled to be joining @Meta! Superintelligence is now in sight 🚀

What it means

A serious-looking man whispers to Sam Altman above a post announcing that Trap it Bansal is joining Meta. The joke is that the whisper makes the exaggerated praise about a “top researcher” and superintelligence look absurdly dramatic. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to ambitious AI announcements and Meta hiring news.

Who

Sam Altman, OpenAI Satya Nadella, Microsoft
