Girl, You Good in the Storm?

girl, you good?

A distant woman walks along a waterfront promenade during an intense downpour, while the camera zooms in and out from a sheltered elevated viewpoint over roads and railway tracks. The caption asks “girl, you good?” as if checking on her, making the absurdly dangerous weather and her calm walk the punchline. The Charli xcx song “SS26” adds a stylish, energetic contrast to the bleak storm footage, making it work as a reaction to someone carrying on despite obvious chaos.
