Windows 11 Dark Mode White Flashes

This week's Windows 11 update is supposed to upgrade the dark mode experience, but it accidentally breaks dark mode in File Explorer, causing white flashes. Windows 11 KB5070311 (Build 26200.7309 / 26100.7309) adds dark mode support in Windows 11 for dialogs like "File in Use," "File transfer, etc. However, this update now causes white flashes when you open a new window, a new tab, switch to Home or Gallery, or use the Details tab in File Explorer. Microsoft says it's working on a fix.

The joke is the ironic failure of dark mode: an update designed to make the interface darker creates sudden blinding white windows, making it a relatable reaction for frustrated Windows users.
