Why Are They Called Kissing Gouramis?

Text on the meme

"Why are they called kissing gouramis?"

What it means

Two pale kissing gouramis swim toward each other in a planted aquarium and repeatedly press their mouths together, literally demonstrating why they have that name. The tender, dramatic music by DeVotchKa makes the fish’s simple behavior feel like an overly serious romantic scene, turning the educational question into a cute absurd reaction meme. The clip works well when joking about unexpectedly intimate or theatrical animal behavior.
