You’ve Lost Your Smile Kid

Text on the meme

>buying alcohol >cashier asks for my id >my id pic is me doing a goofy face >she looks at me kind of sad >"you've lost your smile, kid" thanks.

What it means

A black-and-white manga panel shows Guts from Berserk staring stoically beside a 4chan-style text post about an alcohol cashier noticing that his ID photo shows a goofy smile. The punchline is the bleak contrast between his youthful ID picture and his current traumatized expression, making it useful as a darkly humorous reaction to losing one’s joy.
