Stalin in Mongolian Deel
historical larps Joseph Stalin wearing a traditional Mongolian deel, 1936
A black-and-white photograph shows Joseph Stalin wearing a traditional Mongolian deel indoors. The joke is that this unexpected historical outfit looks like a costume from a historical reenactment or role-playing game, so it is shared as an amusing reaction to oddly specific historical imagery.
