Cat Always In the Way

Text on the meme

in the way-aholic

What it means

A first-person video follows someone walking through a home while a black cat repeatedly crosses directly in front of their feet, weaving around them and finally flopping onto the rug. The caption “in the way-aholic” jokes that the cat is addicted to being in the way, turning ordinary feline attention-seeking into a persistent obstacle-course gag. Charli xcx and John Cale’s song “House” plays underneath, adding a stylish, playful soundtrack that makes the cat’s repeated interruptions feel like a choreographed performance.
