Stop Treating Open Source Like Corporations
STOP treating Open source projects as corporations. STOP trying to buy people for 20k. STOP using your audience to dunk shit on open source products (like VLC). STOP attacking whoever has a different perspective. You're not helping. This literally serves nothing. My video about @FFmpeg is up. It's time for something to change. FFmpeg needs to change tbh you're right, the 20k bounty to get the owner fired thing is very weird The video was weird. The 20k bounty was bad, wrong, disgusting and horrifying. I don't understand how he became such a bully tbh.
A screenshot of an X/Twitter thread shows users arguing about a video criticizing FFmpeg and a $20k bounty intended to get its owner fired. The joke is the absurd escalation of open-source project criticism into personal attacks and paid influence, with commenters calling the behavior weird, disgusting, and bullying.
