Expensive PC Still Broken
rich people approach to fix computer problems > swap gpu with more expensive one too much money is the root cause of many skill issues Been having PC issues for awhile now. Loud whine sound from my rig when booting some games. Doesn’t happen when running benchmarks. Thought it was the GPU, so swapped from a 4090 to a 5090. Issue persists. Thought it was PSU related (14900k + 5090 is a lot of power). Finally upgraded to a 1500w Corsair. Issue persists. I hate computers so much. I’m never ever building one again. I just want to play some games to relax. I’m so fucking done that I am fighting the urge to throw this $6k+ rig off of my balcony. Is there anywhere in SF that I can drop this off, hand over $1k and get back a working PC?
The meme shows a social media post joking about a wealthy person trying to fix a noisy gaming PC by repeatedly replacing expensive components. Even after upgrading from an RTX 4090 to a 5090 and installing a 1500W Corsair power supply, the problem remains, so the person wants to throw the $6k+ computer away. The punchline is that having more money leads to increasingly expensive guesses instead of diagnosing the actual issue.
