Delayed Interview Rejection Email

Text on the meme

Hello! I apologize for the delay. We had to reschedule a few interviews after you, so it pushed us back a bit. I do want to let you know that unfortunately, we went with a different candidate at this time. If you are looking still come fall time, please reach back out! I hope you enjoy the sunshine and have a great rest of your week! Thank you again

What it means

A screenshot of an email apologizing for delaying an interview before politely rejecting the candidate, while awkwardly inviting them to reach out again in the fall. The humor comes from the clumsy wording and mixed message of wishing the recipient a great week after disappointing them.
