Throwing Away My Old TV

Text on the meme

Throwing away my 5 year old tv

What it means

A man in a wheelchair moves a television console aside, then carries his five-year-old flat-screen TV through the hallway and takes it outside toward the curb. The exaggerated “throwing away” sequence is set to Trick Daddy’s energetic hip-hop song “Shut Up,” making an ordinary disposal task feel like a dramatic, triumphant mission. It works as a reaction meme for finally getting rid of an old possession or decisively upgrading something.
