Kevin Naughton Localhost Portfolio

Text on the meme

If you’re a hardcore software engineer and want to build the everything app, please join us by sending your best work to code@x.com. We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what “big name” company you worked at. Just show us your code. i'll let my work speak for itself http://localhost:8000/index.html

What it means

A screenshot of an X post by Elon Musk inviting hardcore software engineers to apply by showing their code, followed by Kevin Naughton Jr.’s reply linking to a localhost webpage. The joke is that the supposedly impressive portfolio is only a locally hosted default development page, making fun of unfinished projects and overconfident programmers. It is used as a reaction to technically ambitious claims that are backed by hilariously incomplete work.
