Parentheses Brackets TED Talk
PSA: Stop calling these: ( ) brackets! These ( ) are parentheses These [ ] are brackets These { } are curly braces Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
A mock public-service announcement explains the correct names for parentheses, brackets, and curly braces. The joke comes from treating a minor terminology correction like a formal TED Talk, making it suitable as a pedantic or humorous reaction to someone using the wrong term.
