To Be Is to Do, Do Be Do

To be is to do. - Socrates To do is to be. - Kant Do be do be do. - Scooby-Doo

A slideshow progresses from a marble bust of Socrates to a portrait of Kant, then lands on Scooby-Doo with the line “Do be do be do.” The joke turns philosophical statements about existence and action into Scooby-Doo’s catchy nonsense phrase, amplified by upbeat music and the escalating reveal. It works as a reaction to overcomplicated wisdom that ends in a silly or unserious conclusion.
