When You Smile While Telling the Truth

Two men sit at a table while one appears to smile during a supposedly truthful statement. The other man immediately gets up and runs through a dim storage-room corridor, turning a tiny smile into an absurd sign of guilt or danger. Michael Giacchino’s “Stuff We Did,” a wistful orchestral film-score piece, gives the escape an overly dramatic and melancholic tone, making the joke work as a reaction to accidentally revealing too much or looking suspicious while insisting you are honest.
