Ursula's Security College

Following the ongoing situation in Iran, I am convening a special Security College on Monday. For regional security and stability, it is of the utmost importance that there is no further escalation through Iran’s unjustified attacks on partners in the region.

Ursula von der Leyen announces an unusually formal “Security College” meeting about Iran in a screenshot styled like an X post. The joke comes from the bureaucratic wording and deadpan tone, making a serious geopolitical crisis sound like an ordinary office meeting or school class. It is used as a reaction to absurdly formal statements about dramatic events.
