That Dog Can’t Protect You

"That dog can't protect you at night..."

A nighttime video first shows a small, harmless-looking dog’s shadow on the pavement, then reveals the tiny white dog wearing a pink bow and black clothing. The joke is that the shadow makes the dog look like a huge, intimidating creature, contradicting the caption about not being able to protect someone at night. The Weeknd’s dark, dramatic song “The Hills” intensifies the fake-threatening reveal and makes the contrast funnier.
