The Death of the Internet Scene
Reminder that even software devs/engineers nowadays learn about Windows file system because young people dont even know whats that lmao. People seem to not understand how grim shit is now. When 30/40+ fags will retire then its over. Emulation scene, homebrew scene, piracy scene even modding scene will simply die. All of those already are on life support or are semi dead already like piracy scene with Denuvo but its only going to get worse. Funny how all of this happens just in time when corporations are moving to fully digital and soon will start phasing out hardware.
A forum screenshot shows an angry cartoon duck above a post warning that emulation, homebrew, piracy, and modding communities will disappear as older enthusiasts retire and corporations move toward fully digital products. The joke is the exaggerated, bleak nostalgia and panic about declining computer knowledge and the death of internet subcultures; it is sent as a reaction to technological change and generational replacement.
