CERN Animal Shelter for Computer Mice
CERN CERN Animal Shelter for Computer Mice Welcome to our new homepage for the CERN Animal Shelter for Computer Mice. We are proud to announce that we have now moved onto the lawn in front of the CERN Computer Centre. Our shelter will be open all week-days from 12:00 to 14:00, starting as of April 1st. In the hay... Eating... Drinking... Cuddling... Playing... Panicking...
A mock CERN webpage presents an “animal shelter” for computer mice, with old computer mice photographed in hay as if they were animals being fed, cuddled, and cared for. The punchline is the absurd literal treatment of computer mice as living creatures, with the final “Panicking...” image adding exaggerated chaos. It is shared as a reaction to silly technical problems, computer panic, or absurd fake institutional announcements.
