Virgin Proxmox User vs Chad Docker User

Virgin user PROXMOX "Why won't this ISO boot?!" Spends 30 minutes adjusting VM CPU cores and memory allocation for each service manually. Believes every VM needs 16GB of RAM, "just in case." Has to Google "Proxmox vs Hyper-V" every week to reaffirm their choice. Spends more time configuring than running anything. Thinks ZFS is a personality trait. Needs 128GB of RAM and 2xEPYC minimum "I need to set up a new service... guess I'll create another VM!" "How do I pass through this GPU again?" Thinks they've mastered virtualization because they enabled PCI passthrough once. "Why is my VM stuck in GRUB?" Chad docker user DOCKER Containers share resources - no wasted CPU or RAM sitting idle. Why waste time configuring VMs when one host can run it all? Entire system runs on a 4GB Pi and handles 100k requests per hour Never worries about hardware passthrough because services just work. "Why use a full OS when a 50MB image does the job?" "You manually start VMs? My cluster auto-scales." "Let me just docker-compose up real quick." Writes a single YAML file and deploys an entire stack "Why allocate static resources when Docker manages it better?"

The meme contrasts an overcomplicated Proxmox virtualization user with a confident Docker user. The “Virgin vs. Chad” format jokes that the Proxmox user spends excessive time configuring powerful virtual machines, while the Docker user runs everything efficiently with lightweight containers and minimal hardware. It is used as a reaction to debates about virtualization versus containers. EN: The meme contrasts an overcomplicated Proxmox virtualization user with a confident Docker user.
