The Primeagen Won’t Leave Recommendations
It is impossible to get this guy out of my recommendations I have never seen a full Primeagen video. But as someone who codes and consumes CS content, this dude is constantly in my feed, despite my many attempts to get rid of him. I have tried everything, clicking "Not interested" and "Don't recommend channel" countless times, sweat dripping down my brow, my face growing gaunt and pale from increasing horror and desperation, but no matter what I do, he follows me everywhere, lurking in the depths of my recommendations or my feed. I see his smug "I know better than you" smirk, his voluptuous mustache, and hear his strange whiny but gritty voice in my dreams. Whenever I have clicked on his videos, it is never out of genuine interest, but more a sense of resignation and despair, like "fine, you win. I'll watch the damn video." And every time I click, it is the same low effort reaction content, the man simply reading an article or watching a video that someone else made, offering lukewarm commentary. I am forever haunted by this mustached man's channel. It pursues me unrelentingly like a hungry ghost looking to enact revenge on me for unresolved grievances. Am I the only one in this dilemma? Please help.
A Reddit screenshot describes a programmer being relentlessly haunted by The Primeagen appearing in their recommendations despite repeatedly selecting “Not interested” and “Don't recommend channel.” The exaggerated horror, desperation, and ghost metaphor parody recommendation algorithms and the speaker’s reluctant frustration with reaction content. It is shared as a humorous reaction to an unwanted creator or recommendation that keeps returning.
