Supplementary Information Required
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION REQUIRED Please be sure the following tasks are answered and uploaded to the document section of your application: 1. Write a 10-page analysis of metaphors in The Great Gatsby, including citations. 2. Convert the analysis into a concise 200-word executive summary. 3. Translate both the full essay and summary into Spanish and Mandarin.
A formal application notice lists an absurdly demanding set of supplementary tasks: a ten-page literary analysis, a concise summary, and translations into Spanish and Mandarin. The joke is the overwhelming amount of work requested from an applicant, making the application process feel comically excessive.
