Day 192 of Unemployment
day 192 of unemployment
A video repeatedly shows a supposedly unemployed man engaging in increasingly chaotic drinking and leisure scenes: collapsing under a dresser, exercising at home, watching pug videos, drinking outdoors, and socializing at bars and parties. The joke is the contrast between the caption “day 192 of unemployment” and his apparent dedication to doing everything except finding a job. Kanye West’s “On Sight,” with its abrasive industrial hip-hop sound and intense electronic energy, makes the montage feel frantic, exaggerated, and absurd.
