Jack Nicholson Celtics Cap Refusal
In the film The Departed (2006), set in Boston, actor Jack Nicholson refused to wear a Celtics cap, due to his well known love for the LA Lakers. He had no problem, however, saying the n-word 30 seconds into the movie
A smiling image of Jack Nicholson appears beside text claiming that, in The Departed, he refused to wear a Boston Celtics cap because of his love for the LA Lakers, yet had no issue saying the n-word early in the film. The joke contrasts a relatively harmless sports preference with a much more offensive action, creating an intentionally absurd and darkly provocative reaction meme.
