What it means

A four-panel illustration compares several bulky sci-fi armor designs, emphasizing exaggeratedly large rounded butt and hip sections. The joke is that the lower designs deliberately embrace the absurd shape as a playful response to the criticism in the top caption, making it useful as a reaction to someone escalating or committing to a ridiculous idea.
