Somali Sushi Banana Rolls
Somali sushi
A plate of sushi-like rice rolls contains large banana slices instead of typical sushi fillings. The joke comes from the absurd, improvised appearance and the stereotype implied by calling it “Somali sushi,” making it a reaction to bizarre food or a questionable homemade dish.
