My Progress Over the Years
My progress over these years: 2020 2026
A comparison shows a small puppy in 2020 and a noticeably chubbier, more self-satisfied puppy in 2026. The joke is that the speaker’s “progress” over the years means gaining weight and becoming more smug rather than achieving a conventional improvement. It is used as a self-deprecating reaction to personal change over time.
