Nintendo Targets Emulation YouTube Accounts
Nintendo Is Now Going After YouTube Accounts Which Show Its Games Being Emulated "I am being specifically targeted by Nintendo" Nintendo is famously protective of its intellectual property and has a history of suing content creators who it feels have overstepped the mark (it isn't shy about suing slightly bigger fish, either). However, its latest move feels particularly heavy-handed, as it has issued a copyright strike against a YouTube channel that reviews emulation handhelds.
A screenshot of an article reports that Nintendo is targeting YouTube accounts showing its games running through emulation. The joke is that Nintendo’s aggressive copyright enforcement is portrayed as arrogant and heavy-handed, especially because the image prominently shows Nintendo games on emulation handhelds. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to Nintendo protecting its intellectual property or taking down emulation-related content.
