Male to Male Cord Warning

Male to Male Cord "Suicide Cord" NO! Yes! At this time of year, there are often requests for an electrical cord with two male ends. Using a cord like this is very dangerous, can start fires or electrocute someone. These are not available for purchase and should not be made at home.

A printed warning shows a red electrical cord with two male plugs labeled “NO!” and a male-to-female extension cord labeled “Yes!”. The joke is the alarming nickname “suicide cord” and the absurdly serious public-safety notice warning people not to make or use a dangerous homemade cable.
