Gooning on Your Grandma’s Couch
Rare aesthetic: Gooning on your grandmas couch
A 12-second slideshow cycles through several heavily floral and striped vintage couches in cozy grandmother-style living rooms. The joke is the absurd contrast between the suggestive internet slang “gooning” and the harmlessly old-fashioned setting, making it a reaction to an oddly specific or unexpectedly comfortable place. The clip is set to The Rupertz — “Nangwe” (feat. Asserdeep & Cue Point Davinci), whose rhythmic African dance sound gives the couch montage a playful, oddly glamorous mood.
