Supervisor Tells Employee to Kill Himself
Is it normal for supervisors to ask you to kill yourself? I missed a deadline by a few days and my supervisor just started yelling at me, telling me that I'm worthless and should just "fuck off and kill yourself." I talked with HR about it and they chuckled as if it I was supposed to expect it. Is that just how Raytheon is?
A Reddit-style workplace post describes a Raytheon supervisor screaming at an employee and telling them to kill themselves after a missed deadline, while HR laughs it off. The dark joke is the extreme normalization of abusive workplace behavior, presented as if it were an ordinary company policy question. It is shared as a reaction to toxic management, workplace absurdity, or horrifying corporate culture.
