The meme compares piano cover videos from eight years ago with current videos. Older covers feature anime songs and ordinary piano performances, while the newer thumbnails heavily emphasize sexualized cosplay and anime fandom. The joke is that anime piano content has become more provocative and thirst-trap oriented over time, so it is shared as a sarcastic reaction to changing internet trends.
