Text on the meme
Tech workers are the ones that(...) Whenever a new technology gets popular, you suddenly need to get good at it to stay relevant and competitive in the market. I'll give you one example, back in the 2010s you could easily get a job by simply knowing either front end or back end dev. Even I got my first job with just HTML/CSS/JS, and some database knowledge. Now in 2024, new programming languages and frameworks pop up every few years, and you have to learn all of them to an extreme level. The entry point is knowing: -A front-end framework such as React, Angular, Svelte or Vue -You need to know JS and TS -At least 1 CSS framework such as Bootstrap and Tailwind -A language + framework to be used on backend -At least the basics of a database and it's management tool -Then you'll need to learn about Cloud Providers, Docker, Kubernets, Git, Agile methodology and many other requirements that keep showing up. Then you learn all that and send your resume to a couple of positions, and get rejected in all of them. You take a break and try to figure out what went wrong and improve, and by the time you start sending your resume again, many of the skills you've learned are now obsolete and replaced with a new one.
What it means

The meme presents a long anonymous imageboard-style complaint about how technology workers are expected to learn an ever-growing list of programming languages, frameworks, tools, and methodologies just to apply for jobs. The punchline is that after finally learning everything, the skills become obsolete and are replaced before the worker can successfully get hired. It is used as a relatable reaction to tech industry burnout, impossible job requirements, and constantly changing trends.
