You Need to Control Your Smoking

“you need to control your smoking”

What it means

A man in a garage demonstrates a homemade electronic contraption designed to control his smoking. He lights a cigarette, the machine moves it toward him, and he soon reacts with an exaggerated choking or coughing expression. The joke is that taking smoking control literally makes the habit even more absurd and mechanical, while the music heightens the escalating gag.
