The Entire US Economy Right Now

Text on the meme

The entire US economy right now is 7 companies sending a fake trillion dollars back and forth to each other

What it means

A close-up cartoon woman appears to scream or laugh beside text claiming that the entire US economy is just seven companies passing a fake trillion dollars back and forth. The joke satirizes corporate consolidation, financial speculation, and the idea that economic activity is largely money circulating among a handful of companies. It is used as an absurd reaction to news about markets, corporations, or the US economy.
