Date Blazer vs Date Invisigal

DATE BLAZER DATE INVISIGAL >western game uses the “generic harem romance bait anime with cute girls the blank self-insert MC has to choose from” trope >it's popularity instantly skyrockets overnight and becomes the #1 selling game on steam Should more western games use anime/jrpg tropes like these or would it decrease the overall quality of games?

EN: Two game covers are compared: the western superheroine Date Blazer on the left and an anime couple from Date Invisigal on the right. The joke mocks the idea that a western game would instantly become a Steam bestseller if it used the popular harem anime/JRPG trope with cute girls and a blank self-insert protagonist. This meme is used in discussions about the commercial appeal of anime aesthetics and the quality of western games.
