Text on the meme
My son keeps calling me a “Hamite,” “Edomite,” and other biblical insults, I’ve completely lost it I (34M) have officially lost my patience. My teenage son (17) has recently gotten way too deep into some weird corners of the internet. I don’t even know what rabbit hole he fell into, but now he keeps calling me a “Hamit,” “Edomite,” and sometimes “descendant of Esau” whenever we argue. Like, what?? I didn’t even know what half of that meant until I googled it and realized he’s throwing ancient biblical lineage slurs at me. He says it with this smug tone, like he’s unlocked the “real truth” about who is chosen and who is cursed. Last night, we were literally arguing about chores, CHORES, and he looks me dead in the eye and says, “That’s exactly what an Edomite would say.” I almost dropped my drink. I tried to have a serious talk with him, but he just doubles down and says I’m “spiritually blind” and “mixed with nations that the Most High rejected.” WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?? I feel like I’m living in some kind of biblical cosplay cult, and my own son is the high priest. I told him if he says “Hamite” to me one more time, he can start paying rent. He just smirked and said, “Spoken like a true Edomite.” what do I even do here?
What it means
